1- What’s the story behind your blog? How did you start it?
S.B.: it was around four years ago, I wanted to create a space where to express myself about music, social issues and mental health. I think it was the result of being for so long on Facebook and Tumblr: I wanted to bring it to the next level, start respectful debates, analyse what was happening in the world and what was my experience. At the beginning it was just a Tumblr blog, I would play with html code and tags. Then I met Gianluca who knew a whole world more than me about websites, blogs and so on. Together we set found a domain, set up a WordPress page and choose more topics to write about.
2- What is one wish you would like to have accomplished by your next birthday?
S.B.: Not much time since my birthday is in a couple of days but creating finally a bundle of 6-7 presets pack organized by color would give me a lot of satisfaction. Btw my current presets are available on TravelHerImpressions.
3- What’s one thing you want to give up/get rid of by your next birthday?
S.B.: It’s difficult to get rid of a trait or mentality in a short time but I have to pick one it could be performance anxiety. In five days we could also get rid of all the non-ecological detergents left in the house so maybe that’s a good short term goal.
4- If not your current job, what’s the job you’re dreaming about?
S.B.: Definitely graphic designer/digital creator for social media and neuromarketing (responsibly!). Also my childhood and always recurrent dream is to sing, maybe one day…
G.F.: I would answer cpu designer but I since learnt that it involves way too much math for me being comfortable doing it so I’d say instead anything in programming world (backend engineer perhaps) would do.
5 – What’s your favorite post you have written so far?
S.B.: I think it would be the first post I wrote because I got to prepare an infographic about Oslo which, as you can guess from my previous answer, is my favourite hobby.
G.F: definitely Rock Is Dead. Or Hidden?. I poured into it a lot of what I believe it’s wrong with the music biz these days and my love for rock music. Another one I liked a lot was The Metalhead and Christmas Dilemma, a tongue-in-cheek post about what it is the holiday season for a metalhead like me.
6 – Describe what a perfect weekend night is for you.
S.B.: It would be a) a sunset by the river after a day of swimming with my family, b) a calm movie night at home with hot chocolate and cookies with my closest ones or c) a concert of one of my fav bands.
G.F.: I hardly think about these sort of things. Anyhow, I’d go with a great dinner at a fancy restaurant with the right amount of close people (5-6 max). Or sipping cocktails on a bar overlooking a beach, having a deep conversation about life and one’s dreams.
7- What’s your favorite social media platform and why?
S.B.: Def Instagram! As a visual enthusiast and digital creator instagram it’s perfect to get inspired, connect with artists, feed beauty to my eyes and share my passion.
G.F.: I’m with Sylwia here, Instagram for sure. It is the least arguments-ridden social media out there and the only one you can enjoy just browsing and occasionally liking the pictures.
8 – Which country would you like to spend the rest of your life in?
S.B.: That’s quite difficult. Ideally for me it would be Poland, preferably between the city I live in and my family home on the countryside. However knowing I got used to live by the sea in Italy and traveling since I was a child due to my entire family migrating here and there, I would hardly resists without thinking to move to a sea place one day, at least for a short period of time.
G.F.: I would very happily live in one of the nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and so on) for most of my life. Any of their big cities will do. Yet in the end I would love to buy a boat and live on it my last days, navigating through the Mediterranean Sea.
9 – What’s on your car playlist these days?
S.B.: Lately I added Powerful by Major Lazer and Ellie Goulding, a constant is also Rotolando Verso Sud by Negrita during summer. I’m more of a radio type if it’s not a summer vacation raid needing a specific vibe playlist.
G.F.: Too many playlists I switch from and to as usual but lately I’ve been building this one:
10 – Tea or Coffee?
S.B.: Tea! Green or White with flowers, lemon grass and citrus fruits.
G.F.: Coffee! I’m a fan of strong flavours and tea just does never reach the level of strength that I find appealing. Even most coffees are not strong enough for me.
11- Early bird or a Night Owl?
S.B.: Night Owl for me, I sleep much better in the morning (don’t wake me before 9!) and focus better in the evening or even late at night.
G.F.: I kind of work late at night too, not too late perhaps, but overall I’d say I’m an early bird. The quietness of early morning fuels my productivity.
That’s all for the questions. Next to our nominees for the Sunshine Blogger Award:
